GMC Link is an online platform that connects seafarers with crewing companies. Seafarers create a professional profile, keep their sea service and documents in one place, and apply to vacancies; crewing companies publish vacancies and review applicants.
The platform is operated by GeoMarine Crew Link (placeholder), identification code 000000000, registered at Batumi, Georgia (placeholder) (“GMC Link”, “we”). You can reach us at info@gmc-link.com.
2. Your account
Most features require an account. When registering you must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for everything done under your account.
- One person or company may hold only one account of each type.
- We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms, giving prior notice where reasonably possible.
3. Acceptable use
GMC Link exists to make maritime hiring honest and transparent. You agree not to:
- upload forged or altered documents, or misstate your qualifications or sea service;
- post fake vacancies or ask seafarers to pay for recruitment or placement;
- scrape or bulk-copy platform data, interfere with the platform's operation, or circumvent its security measures;
- impersonate another person or company, or use someone else's account.
4. Content and responsibility
Vacancies and other content published by crewing companies belong to those companies, and they alone are responsible for its accuracy and legality. Seafarers are responsible for the accuracy of their own profiles and uploaded documents.
GMC Link is a platform, not a crewing agency or an employer. We are not a party to any employment or recruitment relationship formed through the platform, and we do not guarantee that any application will lead to employment.
5. Limitation of liability
The platform is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, GMC Link is not liable for indirect or consequential damage, lost opportunities, or the actions of other users, including the hiring decisions of crewing companies.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
6. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will announce material changes on the platform in advance; continuing to use GMC Link after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Georgia. Any dispute we cannot resolve amicably will be settled by the competent courts of Georgia.
