1. What Premium includes
GMC Link Premium adds convenience tools on top of the free platform:
- AI document recognition — the fields of a passport, seaman's book, or certificate are extracted from a photo.
- Auto-fill — recognized fields are applied to your profile and documents after you review and confirm them.
- Premium CV templates — additional designs in the CV builder.
- AI CV summary — a short professional summary generated from the profile facts you already store on GMC Link.
2. Free for seafarers
Browsing vacancies and applying to them is free for seafarers and will stay free. In line with the Maritime Labour Convention, 2006, seafarers are never charged for job placement.
Premium is convenience only: having or not having it never affects your hiring chances or how the platform orders, ranks, or displays your applications to crewing companies.
3. Monthly AI quota
AI features have a monthly usage quota per user. The quota resets at the start of each calendar month, and unused quota does not carry over. Current quota amounts are shown in the app; we will give notice before changing them.
When the quota is used up, AI features pause until the next month — everything else in Premium keeps working.
4. Fair use
Quotas exist to keep the service affordable for everyone. Premium is for your own use: sharing an account, automating requests, or using the AI features to bulk-process other people's documents is not allowed and may lead to suspension.
5. Availability and accuracy
AI features depend on a third-party provider (the Google Gemini API) and are offered without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability.
Recognition results can contain errors — that is exactly why nothing is applied without your confirmation. Always check the recognized values against your original document before confirming.
6. Changes
We may improve, change, or replace individual Premium features over time. If, during a period you have already paid for, we materially reduce what the subscription includes, we will tell you in advance. Questions: info@gmc-link.com.
